What does JRT stand for?
The letters “JRT” were the initials of the founders’ late grandfather, Jacobo Rodriguez Tavarez.
Who Do You Help?
We help anyone in the community who is in need of our help. Youth programs, homeless shelters, child protective services, abused women organizations, tragedies/emergencies affecting families in our community.
What is Black Squad?
Black Squad originated as a car club of Black Cars. It then became a social club and attained a big following with a lot of supporters. When we realized we could use our platform to make a difference, we decided to switch gears and become a charitable organization with the name “JRT’s Helping Hands”.

What is 212°?
It is a symbol to never stop. At 211° water is just water but at 212°, just one degree higher, it boils. From boiling water comes steam, which can power a locomotive.
